What are people's thoughts on pre-match pub ? The ground looks like it is a fair way out of the town centre , does it have a designated away pub nearby or are people drinking in the centre of town beforehand ??

Get there early and do the Morse tour of pubs. Obviously us Essex boys don't need anything official. Don't have to do them all, just look them up and do a few if you can. We did that last time we played Oxford united and then the season was cancelled due to covid.

Some real quirky pubs so well worth it.

It's crazy support to take 1200 odd in the 5th tier to Oxford. In context. Col u used to bring 1200 to us in the league and they are 45 mins away!

For those who are going to park at Thornhill park and ride I have be told by the bus company that the 700 bus can drop you off at Copse Lane which is nearest stop for the ground

Spent a lot of my youth in Oxford, so will probably fall off the train, frequent a few old haunts and then get a bus/cab to a pub nearer the ground.
