So we've lost 2 on the spin and Brown's back to clueless and ridiculous. Can someone please claim he's lost the dressing room again so we've at least got it all out in the open.

On days when we fail to impose ourselves away to a team like Charlton I'm just glad we're not in the position the clueless Brown found us in when he joined us, facing Stevenage and talking about how strong THEY are.

Yep. It's ridiculous alright.

With the quality and size of the squad he's been given to work with,it should have been Sheffield U and Boltons results we had to worry about.

Size and quality? If that was the truth your point about the wrong selection upfront wouldn't matter as we had the quality to step in anyway. We don't and you can't have it both ways.

Why are we all giving up. Do you think Bristol Rovers fans are giving up. Do you think Millwall fans are thinking they are hone and hosed? Of course they don't.

Plenty of twists and turns to go yet.

With Browns "tactical know how" there's little chance of beating one decent team in the playoffs, yet alone two!

That's nonsense, we've looked more than a match for the top teams at home (except Sheffield United), we were unlucky to not get a point against Bolton, destroyed Scunthorpe, dismantled Millwall (and David Mooney was MotM that day which shows how well we coped) and Bradford, despite an even start, collapsed by the end. In the play off spots only Fleetwood have come to our place and looked comfortable. So long as our injured players recover we have every chance should we get there.

Amen brother!

We've got more than enough to take care of this and even those who came in against Charlton will have got a game under their belts now. Those around us will still drop points. And if they don't, they damn well deserve to go up in our stead.

What's the world coming to when tin pot little clubs like Sheffield U and Bolton finish above us.

And Fleetwood and Bradford City, both with astute managers.

Unless I'm mistaken F'Wood have a lot of money behind them and Bradford are a large City team and formally in the Premiership ... maybe you should use the example against some of the teams beneath us as well !

Seen it all before, same old story is unfolding. We collapsed a lot earlier last year, so at least we are making progress. Maybe next season we'll make the play offs.

That's the spirit ! Wow , I truly cannot believe this from a fellow supporter. We was never ever in it last year, there or there abouts, but for me this season is a very different kettle of fish ( personally speaking ) and I won't stop believing until it's not possible. If the players had your attitude , we may as well stop the season now !

When we lost at Morcambe a few season back on the last day and missed out on automatic , did you give up then as well ?

Play off final , you give up then as well, well most did , APART from the players on both of those occasions !

Like I said, seen it all before. The fact we are playing lower sides only scares me more. Charlton was an example of this on Saturday.

Last season we were 7th up until March, so for me, we were "in it". That implosion was spectacular and one I attribute to lack of squad depth. Like I said, this year we've kept in the hunt for longer, but I fear that injuries and lack of desire from the 11 who walk onto the pitch may see us fall away.

As a fan, I am fully entitled to provide opinion be it optimistic or pessimistic. Personally I prefer to expect the worst and enjoy when my expectations are exceeded as opposed to getting my hopes up and seeing them crushed. That being said, I would go into the play offs fully optimistic and I stayed until the end at Wembley 2 years ago.

Oh my God...

Come on people, please.

Look, we have Chesterfield, Shrewsbury, MK Dons and Bury. We have beaten all of them except Shrewsbury already.

It is in our hands. The other teams aren't going to win all their games, in fact, look at their run ins -

Bradford - Oxford (H), Sheff Utd (A), Wimbledon (H), Rochdale (A)
Fleetwood - Peterborough (A), Millwall (H), Gillingham (A), Port Vale (H)
Millwall - Northampton (H), Fleetwood (A), Oxford (H), Bristol Rovers (A)
Scunthorpe - MK Dons (A), Chesterfield (H), Swindon (A), Coventry (H).

Would we swap our fixtures for any of that lot?

I think Millwall will do well to get 6 out of that lot that gives them a total of 73 and Scunny will do well to get 8, giving them 78 with a goal difference of 20.

If we win all four games, we get 78 but our goal difference may well be higher than 20, but the key here is Millwall. If we win 3 games we get 75 and 8 or even 7 points may be enough. Millwall's fixtures are tougher than ours and our goal difference is much better, effectively giving us an extra point.

Let's not be too despondent, come on Blues!!

Maybe Scunthorpe's? on paper it looks like they have a slightly easier run in than us, but at the end of the day if we want to achieve the play off's 6th place is all that's needed.

Im not giving up,but feel that if we cannot get 3 points at Chesterfield maybe that will be the season over,if thats the case ,i am still happy with the season, from a terrible start the lads have done extremely well and i for one and very proud of them.I said in a thread a month or so ago that if we can keep the majority of this team together and add a bit more quality to it,then next season maybe one we will all remember for rest of our days.Im very happy with PB as our manager ,yes at times he may screw up and make the wrong decision ,but it shows he is only human ,i love his passion for the job and his passion for the club.In saying all that i wish the lads well for the coming 4 matches and GOD willing the playoffs .

I can only echo your words BW.

I'm feeling confident(ish). I'm sure we will slip up once in the last 4 games, but im more confident that Millwall will screw up more, thus gaining at least a single point on them.... Look at FBM's post for the future fixtures.

here we are, four games to go until the end of the season and we're still talking about a play off place:winking: previous seasons have finished for us a lot earlier than that. enjoy the ride aboard the sufc express
