Very early obviously. But I was wondering what people's thought's were on pre-season tours...

Putting the clubs financial worries aside for a moment...

Would you like to see us go on a tour abroad/UK for a change?

Where would you like to see us tour? (Sensible responses please!, Not Bermuda/A.N. Other Exotic location)

Are there any tournaments still running for FL clubs abroad. I know there was an Ibiza Cup running a while back?

If we went on a pre-season tour abroad, would you go?

I'd be bang up for it if they did a tour of Middlesex and West London. Hayes & Yeading, Uxbridge, AFC Hayes, Wealdstone, Harrow Borough, it'd be fantastic.

I've played on football tours a few times, and the area around the Dutch/German border (Maastrict, particularly) is great for football. More than few teams in quite short distance and it makes for a great tour.

Ireland please. PS has been over here a lot looking at players so hopefully he's lined up a cheeky tour of the Clubs around Dublin!

A few hours down the road from you, but there is a Southend United based in County Waterford....

EDIT - just seen that they are only a junior club. It'd still be great to see our lads play them though!

Southend airport now does direct return flights to Galway and Waterford for about £70-£90 (with connecting flights to Dublin etc) so that would be a cracking shout.

It actually makes so much sense that it'll obviously not happen. Would be a great way to take the players on tour whilst raising the profile of Southend in Ireland and raising the profile of those towns with the people of Southend. Everyone wins.

Until the fans turn up :)

Indeed. Loads of teams in and around Dublin to play against.

Even a base in Galway could provide at least 3 games against Irish Prem/1st Div sides.

Saw scunthorpe play at Cobh a few years back, the problem is that it is in the middle of their season (April - November) so weekend games are out of the question and generally only the clubs who need the money (or the opposition which will pull big money) will be playing.

The Highlands would be my choice, A couple of the lower league , Highland league sides (Ross County, Nairn , Clach) finishing with a game against ICT

Would love Scotland not expensive if budgeted right, also Irelands a good shout,go on mr Sturrock you know it makes sense.
