Poor Nile Ranger may have written himself into our record books, with two débuts both ending in injury: 24 minutes against Sheffield United in August 2016, and now 12 minutes against Salford City. 24, 12 .... there’s some sort of pattern there.

Must not forget Tony Currie he did not make it past the kick about before the game .

He won a few headers but was blowing hard after a few mins.

Looked a few weeks away from match fitness to me.

Thought Ranger made a couple of decent defensive clearances in his cameo appearance. Maybe he’d make a good ball playing centre back if he’s ever fit again

A shame. From MM's comments about Nile I think he was relying on him. He'll have to go to plan B whatever that is. We really don't have anyone with a real eye for goal. Holmes looks a possibility but won't manage a whole game. Emile's hold up play is coming on nicely but his scoring isn't. Not sure what he'll do.

His season is over, he was never close to being fit and it showed on Saturday.

I guess the same people demanding he should play will now move on to the next one. Still at least we have learnt one thing in the last 4 days..... The reason no one else had signed Ranger and Holmes. The same reason no one has signed Simpson.
