I will also be giving dogs abuse to Luke McCormick when he comes down here next week but that is because he plays for a team that is not Southend United. Hypocritical, yes but then I am a football fan and most of us are hypocrites if we are honest.
Just imagine a fully fit Nile Ranger, integrated back into our squad and fired up to be successful, .
Never saw it last season, doubt I will this one. He's fitness is obviously behind this time last year, and always thought he struggled to last 90 mins last season. Ok, he suffered from injuries more than once, but will probably do so again.
Would be surprised to see him on the pitch ( as a Sub for a few games ) until October.
Do you know for sure he hasn't then? Or just listening to the media?
I support the club and shirt, not the player. As for the other (3 members) I don't think you can put there errors in the same context as NR AND they have learned from there mistakes which is my issue with NR, who never will.
We have Yearwood who does that. I am a fan of Wordy though and agree he's a bit special on his day going forward.
Is that right?
So you know for sure that NR will learn from his mistakes eh? Can I borrow your crystal ball?
Anyway, I've said my bit so won't argue anymore.
I'll just bring this post up in the future and say I told you so with a smug grin
Read it again, I said he wouldn't. :stunned:
McCormick killed 2 small boys and maimed their father using his phone whilst drunk at the wheel of his Range Rover, comparing his crime to Nile Ranger is delusional.
If McCormack had signed for Southend after his release I would, out of principle NOT watch the blues any longer
Others consistently berate Ranger however still pay to watch the team, I find that odd personally
Rangers crimes were pre-meditated and deliberate...McCormick's were not..not excusing him at all, but just saying like.
I think you are confusing cause and effect
He knowingly got behind the wheel of his car under the influence of alcohol. In my eyes that's deliberate and pre-meditated! But then I am very anti drink/drug driver so I would say that.

Pre-meditated means he went out with the intention to kill people with his car. Don't be ridiculous.
What McCormick did was a terrible error of judgement that sadly resulted in a horrendous and tragic outcome. He rightly got a custodial sentence and he has to live with what he did for the rest of his life. However, it wasn't pre-meditated.
Let's give the man a chance to prove himself. His paid his debt to society.
He had the equivalent of 2 pints of beer in him and this was several hours after he'd stopped drinking so incorrectly thought he was safe to drive. I strongly suspect a lot of people have done the same as him at some point, the only difference is he crashed, which he obviously didn't do on purpose.
He's an idiot but despite people dying I think he should be allowed to get on with his life because millions have done what he did and just been lucky enough to not hit anything, and from an intent point of view they are just as guilty as him.
He was twice over the legal drink limit and got behind the wheel of a car, which endangers the lives of himself and others.
If you think it's ok to drink 2 pints then drive a few hours after, then I'm truly shocked at people's attitude to drink driving - it's not an 'error of judgement' as Pubey puts it, it's a heck of a lot more serious than that!!!
Anyway back to Ranger; he's served his time (for something he did before he joined us), I have no idea what went on in January and I never heard of the so called widely reported training lapses, therefore let's see how he does from now.
