Spillane has certainly attracted loads of interest from other clubs in the close season. I will bet you a beer that no-one in League 2 or above will sign Spillane for next season.

I'd be very surprised if we only brought in 1/2 players. We have 21 players at the moment and that includes 6/7 that are out of contract and 2/3 recently brought up from the youth team. Can't see many others coming up from the youth either, maybe Jack Payne.

Even if we keep all of those that are out of contract, we still seriously lack in the midfield area.

Personally I'd prefer to sign whole players.

Oh. I was not in favour of signing him but like Akinfenwa, I don't like to play against him either.

Interesting times for Burton - looks like they could be promotion candidates. I wonder if we will manage to get any points of them this season .......:unsure:

Lost their two best players though in Maghoma and Zola this summer.

I've always liked the look of Zola and I was surprised when Crewe let him go some years ago.

Some people make some poor comments about this league but there is, to me, a wide range of interest across the clubs. It is too easy at times to be derisory but year after year we fail to win against clubs like Accrington, Burton and Morecambe for instance.
