Breaking News Rhys Murphy signs

Very happy with this signing, goalscorer at national league level! Can see him getting 15 plus goals for sufc.

has a proven goal scoring record at this level, lets hope we can get another one signed up ASAP 3 would be a great achievement

seems Brown is bringing in a few experienced players for this level which will be needed to help the youngsters as they progress, could be a very interesting season

Better than a goal every two games in NL over the last two seasons.
Actually 1 in every 3 at L2 level so could certainly do it there as well.
Decent signing.

Very happy with this one. Statistically Murphy’s been one of the best strikers in the NL per 90 mins over the last two seasons. Obviously there are a few doubts over whether he’ll be available for every game, but if he had been we probably wouldn’t have been able to sign such a clinical striker.

From looking at the goals he’s scored for Yeovil, most have been from either through balls on the counter attack or finding space in the box. Hopefully we sign a target man to partner him, and he should hopefully do well.

Out of possession Yeovil have a similar high-intensity style to us, so there shouldn’t be any problem adjusting to that side of our style.

Looking at the footage doing the rounds it looks like goalkeepers at this level are terrible at positioning and Murphy takes full advantage of this. Long may it continue (in our favour)

Has played alongside tall strikers at Yeovil, interesting to see if Brown tries to get a Barry Coor type player in, someone who can create space for Murphy or if he goes down the 4-3-3 route and has Akinola and ANG out wide.
