Bass guitarist and founder member of the Shadows passed away aged 71. One of my early music heroes and it was him that inspired me to try and play the guitar. Sadly I have no talent for playing a musical instrument whatsoever.

RIP

R.I.P. Jet, also passing on the same day Michael Gough who played Alfred, best known for playing Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred in a series of Batman movies

RIP Jet.A good mate of mine on this board and a huge Shadows fan(who introduced me to their music back in the 60's)will be mourning his loss.

Yes I will - never saw him in the Shadows but as Jet Harris and Tony Meehan (also gone) at the Odeon in the sixties - missed Jet at St Ives festival last year - only heard he was on after the event (rats!)
