I went to Fenners to watch Cambridge University play Derbyshire... needless to say, there were no more than about 20 people watching... 6 of which were me and my friends, near the boundary rope, having a picnic!

Matt, are you sure that wasn't Layer Road?

Nope, only been to Lay-a **** once, and that was with about 1,300 Shrimpers fans... when we saluted our new hero:

One Simon Brown!
There's only one Simon Brown,

I just found a good picture of the field to share with you all.  The stadium was built in the early 1920's and is located in the middle of campus.

Has it been added to since the 20's? Looks like it was.
The Dal Ward Center (the building at the bottom of the pic) is a fairly new structure, and additional seating on the east side of the stadium was added just last year, but this is an old picture since that new area is not shown. The stadium has probably been renovated since the 20's as well, but the main seating areas definitely seem like they haven't changed since the 20's.

Found a couple more pictures showing the beautiul view from the stadium.  The second picture shows the new addition they made to the stadium just last year.

The athletic department at CU has loads of money, so they are constantly building or improving something.
