Was full of praise for us fans and has said that we're not in a postion to off load players as Southend are a club that" MAKES a profit". He also seemed genuinely desperate to give the fans something to cheer about for next season, he with Tilly are looking to bring in 6 or 7 new players, some who are players for the future and the rest to compete and give us more options. "We have made some signings that haven't been successful unfortunately and the nucleus of the team for that reason are similar types of players and the ones who got us up from league 1 and 2respectively".
Asked if he would swap the United win for Championship football he answered and infactic "YES!"
As for Tilly he was fully supportive for him and didn't blame him for the season admitting he did what he could with what he had.
The hearing re- Fossets was penned in for the 14th of August but Ron has asked for it to be put back to September/ October (Wino can't remember) and he believes WHEN! it is approved then Southend will be the club that the fans and area deserve.

Looks like Ron whats to build up the Tilly's Tots squad for the future.

i didn't get to sea the game yesterday but St Marys seemed the plaice to be. It seems we floundered a bit 2nd half when things went a bit crabby.

Hopefully next season we will be a re-prawn side scale-ing the heights of league one. Needless to say there will be a lot of carping on over the closed season about players coming and going to bass-tures new. I'll sure we shrimpers will catch a few new players who will warm the cockles of our hearts.
