Deep breaths people... I know it May seem odd or hard to accept but we had the same old comments and reactions popping up this time last year in relation to loosing players, Brown being disliked or players loosing faith in him, and people calling for his head, this was after barely surviving the second half of the season. This is just how we seem to do pre pre season, note it's not even pre season yet..

Garentee someone will say "well such and such have already signed this and that" well good for them, we could've brought in any old riff raff early doors last time around and used the tight budget up on mere squad players, instead PB bided his time and brought in Cox, Ferdinand and Ranger (ok his debatable about how good he will be for us now with his sentence but can still be a quality player). Last time around our squad was threadbare, people was panicking about not even having enough senior players to fill a match day squad.

Look how it ended up 7th, one point off the play offs. So let's not hunt PB and RM with the pitch forks just yet aye? Review the situation again come mid July. There's a lot that can happen before A ball is kicked.

Although you make some good points, some of these big names were bought in too late for preseason and unfit, thus the start of the season was a mess. One more point in those first 12 games would have possibly seen us in Millwalls position. We don't want to be making the same mistakes again

Agreed...... Looking at it in a positive way, are both WA and AT Championship players (that's where we want to be)? The answer is no and both replaceable....

True, but if those players were fighting fit and raring to go it's doubtful we would've had a sniff at them, I'd rather have to nurture a player to fitness for 3 months then have them available to the team then not have them at all. Especially when it's a player like Ferdinand

it is good to want players that are a step up that can take us into the championship, but not sure we can pay the wages to bring in as many as we all want in, bearing in mind players we wanted to keep are going lower leagues to be paid more

Fully agree, didn't Bury spend early last season on some quite impressive signings? Didn't exactly do them a lot of good did it?

Maybe they're doing it again. Thompson is a half decent L1 centre back, but I wonder if they've broken the bank to get him in early? If they have then that's really not a great bit of business as he's not good enough to break the bank for
