Dunfermline Athletic FC (The PARS ) are at their most critical time in their 128 year history . We entered Administration on 26 march and by 28th we had lost half the regular first team , 3 under 20's, and our assistant manager. The manager is on reduced pay if he ever gets paid as no one at the club has been paid since end of February and the club has no money.
The fans are raising funds by all means possible but we need help from the wider football family . The Pars supporters trust is part of the united pars working with the administrator and we would appeal to you if you feel you could donate to our cause to keep the Pars alive we would be very grateful.

Donations can be made to the Pars Supporters Trust

Wish you and your team every success in your appeal.

Think you need to make it easier to donate, asking people to transfer money from a bank account into your trust bank account is to much hassle.

If you want this to work, I think you need to set up a PayPal account, you will get more of a response and donations that way.

Agree with Big Dady, get a Paypal account set up and you'll get more donations including mine. We could need the help of others sooner rather than later.

You are aware that we are constantly in a struggle to survive ourselves?

Charity begins at home and whilst I feel for any fans in the same situation Im not exactly comfortable with our fans contributing to another club, especially when we dont know the reasons for their issues. eg Portsmouth are in trouble because they lived well beyond their means, and enjoyed the high life they couldnt afford, now they are having to deal with the consequences. I wouldnt contribute to them either.

I have empathy for any fan concerned about their club but begging others to bail out a badly managed club doesnt sit well with me.

I am aware of how many supporters of OTHER FOOTBALL CLUBS put their hands in their pockets when we had the "Save our Southend" appeal a few years ago. I will take the suggestion to our next Trust committee meeting and see if we can make a donation, as we have our Quiz Night next weekend we might be able to do something there.

OBL if we didnt have any financial issues Id have no issue at all with it.....

Simple - treat others as you would wish to be treated. As OBL says, we have appealed ourselves in the past, and may well do in the future.

Also, this is an appeal to individual fans, not the club, and it is surely up to individual fans how they respond. Your response was churlish, and to my mind didn't reflect well on our club - you actually phrased your response as if you were speaking for all of us. You have every right to express that opinion, of course, but I think it portrays us as insular and selfish - just my opinion...

Thanks for the comments it was not easy to post in the first instance but when its your club and you are going to loose it we have to try every thing. the good thing is that if we can pull this off the fans will have the biggest say in running the club.
As for Pay Pal account if you go to the pars supporters trust web site there is pay pal details on it.
Again thanks.

I have a soft spot for the Pars - I used to follow them with interest at uni and one of my mates is a STH at the moment. I will be donating.
