You would think that the management understand this to be a way you can win/loose games

We lost the game at Scunthorpe because we conceded 2 goals from corners

It’s remarkable (lost for words) that it has been over 70 corners since we last scored.

This blame can not be put on anyone but the manager and coaches. I’m not even sure if it’s on their agenda yet. Why have they been so slow to realise how ineffective our corners are? We might as well just tell them to take a goal kick as nothing will come of it.

The management team need to take some accountability and go back to basics.

You will never be successful if you can’t score/defend set pieces. All pre work should be prepped from the scouting report. Drills should be practiced weekly.

No excuse the ratio of 70 corners a goal is pathetic

This has been raised so many times in recent years. I find it impossible to believe we work on these in training being so poor at them

One example is that we don't have a centre back who can come forward and score goals from set pieces. Someone like Cian Bolder at Fleetwood. The career goalscoring records of Turner and Ferdinand is poor

The biggest problem with our attacking set-pieces is the delivery, which is pretty average for a professional club.

Didn’t Philips get something like 10 goals a few years back?

So apart from defending set pieces, attacking set pieces and throw-ins, we're alright

Prawnzone Cornerwatch.....

Since Wordsworth scored against Blackpool, it's been 12 league games and 72 corners.

This does not include Yeovil in the Cup, where Blues had 9 corners with no result.

So realistically it's 81 corners.

Wondering if there are stats for other clubs with ratios of corners scored/conceded from, so it gives an idea of where we are compared to others?

On the face of it, these stats are pretty poor, it has to be said.

Still want to know why our best set piece deliverer is no longer taking corners!

Turner scored from a corner in the last game. Just need to fine tune things a bit ....

LOL, as did Nile with that cheeky near post flick at home to Northampton!

Come to think of it, we seem to have scored more own goals from set-pieces than at the right end!

Maybe we did after sCUNThorpe. Much much better today defending and attacking
