on ticket so to speak not had one for two season s. But thought what the heck they are my team and I'm supporting them all the way.

First brick was due to be laid this month, nothing as usual, how do you stay so calm in these ball **** sea's?

Last I heard the FF site was going to be fenced June & construction would begin July. I don't now truly believe it will be the case either but if "first brick due to be laid this month" is true, to be fair he's still got 21 days to achieve this...

Last time I lost it regarding SUFC was when we let that 4th goal go in at Bristol Rovers to lose a game we should have had won. Until I see "the green shoots of recovery" I don't see why I should bother my @rse caring about something the people who matter (not just RM but Tilson & the players) obviously have very little current regard for!

Well you still sounded positive despite the crap he is throwing at us, how do you do it?
 
.........the sad thing is that I'm feeling pretty much the same as Wiggy on this one.

I can't see anything to get over excited about at the moment, staff not being paid again, a transfer embargo, many of the current squad wishing to leave and playing league 2 football next year.

I fail to see exactly what there is to be optimistic about.

Indeed, i now go fishing a lot more.
Saying that, i've renewed and bought one for my son for the first time, sod it...in for a penny in for a pound. Ron probably thinks it's going quite well all this y'know. He's done a lot of juggling and wheeler-dealing and had to put a brave face on but he's still here and still insisting. If he pulls it all off, you'll have to admire him Wiggy.

Am with Wiggy on this. I support Southend til the day I die but Martin is ruining this club fast. Please remember the team we currently have would be in bottom 6 in league 2 in my view. Some of you saying top 6 think again, your thinking of the clubs name not the players we have.

Let's wait until we have drawn 0-0 with Canvey before putting the boot in eh?

We have been spoilt over the last 6 or 7 years with success and expect too much. We always have been and always will be a 3/4th division yo yo team we have to make the most of the good times when they happen.
My late grandmother instilled throughout her life the addage that if you cant say something nice about someone then dont say anything at all..... perhaps you might want to take note.

Agree with all of this, apart from the fact we will be a 3rd/4th division yo yo team. The new stadium will not work, unless we are at worst a 2nd/3rd division yo yo team.
 
I am in complete agreement with Wiggy, Cockles, Lester etc.....The clubs in a mess at the moment. We have literally NO HOPE of getting even close to the L2 play-offs next season.....We're all Discussing about the first couple of players making a move, but it really is the thin end of the wedge, I am sure.

Ron has completely lost clarity on what it takes to run a successful football club. He is investing ALL of his time and money on pushing through this new stadium for the future of the club(and more importantly himself), but he is not focusing anything on the current team, which means the team wont be worthy of a new 20-odd thousand seater stadium by the time it is ready.....Investment in keeping the team to a certain strength or even just making the current players and staff happy are concepts lost on RM.....What we'll end up with is a club with youth teamers playing at the foot of League Two, or even Conference pulling crowds of about 3,000 receiving a new stadium in about 3 years time.....

His model for running a football club is more shanked than a Macca long shot.

Maybe we should create two forums, one entitled "Those Nasty Nay-Sayers", and one entitled "The Rose Tinted Brigade"

No, I dont have a solution before you ask....We're stuck with Ron and his stadium dementure for as long as he decides...Doesn't make me any less inclined to moan about it on a "forum"
 
Oh and say Goodbye to Southend United if England win the World Cup.....Unless he's been let out of his padded cell to visit the bookies using all of the season ticket sales to back England....Which frankly wouldn't surprise me....

How many people actually went with the England World Cup deal?

I don't think it was that many, and also, insurance has definitely been taken out for that.
