Some Club Staff Salaries Late/Embargo Chat - now resolved (for now)

As it stands, the staff that are leaving got nothing, everyone else got 50% of wage, if they don't receive wages tomorrow the club will owe them 6 weeks pay.
It will be hard to recruit non playing staff with the awful reputation that this club has with non payment of salaries. The country seems to have a problem with skill shortages and unfilled vacancies and that's with employers who pay their staff on time.

Thanks for the clarification. It’s an utter disgrace. Thus thread should definitely remain open until this matter is dealt with and all staff have been paid fully.

Apparently, wages are now paid up to date. I know someone who's mortgage company is mighty relieved this afternoon.
That isnt good as late payment on your mortgage damages your credit rating. And obviously affects your ability to obtain credit in the future. Through no fault but the clubs. But it's ok we signed three new players

I totally agree with what you are saying, but we are where we are. The Club is living hand to mouth during this close season but hopefully sponsorship money is now coming in enough to scramble through to the start of the season and paying customers. We all want a successful team and the new players hopefully will contribute to that aim. The more successful we are the more the Club will make money.

These people are working and should be paid.
They all most likely have families and mortgages to pay and outgoings the same as everyone else and no-one goes to to work for nothing.
It’s not fair and it’s not right

There is a workforce shortage in this country at the moment and if the club has no back staff then they will be unable to open the stadium when the time comes.

Tinks.............I wonder what the players/management would make of all this.?
This applies to any club of course.

Walk down the High Street, York Road or Hamlet Court Road, no shortage of seemingly able bodied ungentlemanly characters needing work.

You are very correct though, when staff leave they are hard to replace and it is only then that their value gets noted.

How can any business expect people to work for free?
What next "let them eat cake"?

Is it now politically incorrect or insensitive in some way to call an embargo, an embargo?
