What is there to clear up? We have plenty of ITK posters telling us 3 players have signed it’s all done. The announcement has as assumed by others been held back due to the non playing staff not being paid.

This has been discussed elsewhere. And let’s be honest SZ is 9 times out of 10 the first to break information. What do you think Chris is going to tell us that hasn’t already been said.

If he copied and pasted BoyWonder’s posts would that make everything ok because it’s come from The Echo?

Round and round we go! we drop into this division and must have halved our wages in the last 3 years....gates remain pretty much similar and yet we still cant pay people. We might as well go part time, we are so mickey mouse with Ron in charge. Clubs with a third of our gates are more solvent than us and doing better.

All the joy of the mid and end of season turn around, getting in of two really decent players and then this crap...AGAIN ....gone!

We really really need Ron gone.

Sufc you need to start respecting those the fans who are keeping the club going..... no fans, no club! Clubs in the lower league are nothing without its fans. Shame those in power as such don't particularly understand this.

The club might not in an official capacity but off the record the unpaid members of staff might. The latter part do I even need to answer that.. its's his job to report on Southend United good or bad...

Given your grasp of potential reasons for a delayed announcement and the reasonable assumption that the club might be motivated more than ever to share their good news, how do you conclude that it’s down to a lack of respect for fans?

If the signings hadn’t been leaked on SZ would you still be demanding that the club made an announcement that they aren’t announcing any more signings yet?

As far as the clubs concerned we shouldn’t know about the players due to be coming in.

I would assume probably yes, whether people knew them or not.

But probs have more money in the bank NOW because of it.

You’ll most likely end up buying a seaso nearer the time on CC and they would’ve only lost out on 1/12th of your cash but got 11/12th of other peoples cash.

Unfortunately, makes a lot of sense for the club to hold out for as long as possible.

1 in the hand is worth 2 in a bush.

Unlikely as not had one for 3/4 years due to the clubs contempt towards the fans but it appears positive steps are being made off the pitch (and that will hopefully translate to better results on the pitch) so there's still time. I get the thought process but it's not a way to run a successful business/football club!
