We have a game of Saturday, it's why we support Southend, to watch them play football. The thread has been up for over 3 hours with only 4 voters for team selection and no posts on the game whatsoever apart from Garry's opener. A very sad sign of the times.

Ironically it's possible players will want to be at their best in case the worst scenario materialised and they need other clubs to pick them up. Not ideal motivation but still motivation.
As it goes, this squad is very tight knit and get on very well and they play for each other and kev, Darren etc. I'm not too concerned with performance being affected by off field stuff

In dealing with players over 30 years, they get very affected by off the field stuff.
These lads have plenty of free time on their hands - too much, if you ask me.
They endlessly discuss trivial things, and by way of a anecdote, Nedum Onuoha, then at QPR, reckoned the players' WhatsApp group was a morning, noon, and night affair.
I guess they would like to ignore the rest, but they're not robots, and well aware of the turmoil.

No season tickets are no longer valid.

All fans wishing to attend the game will now need to purchase a ticket from the ticket office. Please ensure that you bring cash. I like the feel of it as I count it.

I had a chat with Kev yesterday and he said that the squad are completely committed to the club and trying to get promoted. Now i appreciate he may not tell me if players were considering striking but he also didnt seem to down beat about it all. Said their job is to train properly win football matches and thats what they will be doing this week/saturday
