And here's our third home game in close succession.

Normal pre-match stuff here please.

4-2-3-1

Seaden
Bwomono, Mitchell-Nelson, Dieng, Clifford
Milligan, Mantom
Barratt, Hutchinson, McLaughlin
Kelman

Is Demetriou still out? I’ve just bought my ticket, hoping to see a good game. I’m undecided on a couple of positions..is it just me or do we have more options now than earlier in the season? Bizarre I know but I’m more excited about picking the team now.

Seaden
Bwomono-Dieng-Shaughnessy-Clifford
Milligan
Demetriou (or Barratt/Egbri)-Mantom-McL
Hutchinson (or Goodship)
Kelman

Subs - C.Taylor, Mitchell-Nelson, Rush, Acquah, Kyprianou plus whoever doesn’t start above.

Sol's team selection usually contains at least one surprise - perhaps that will be a start for Hutch on Saturday ?

We remain solid for 60 minutes ,Burton make changes then score.
We then make a pointless substitution. 80 minutes we make a substitution we should have done at 60. 85 minutes one of our players gets a long term injury .FT the referee and linesmen get escorted from the pitch due to their appalling performances.
THE END

Seaden
Elvis Shaughnessy Dieng Kyprianou
McLaughlin Milligan Demetriou Clifford
Kelman Goodship

Apart from Leonl811, posters seem to have gone with Kelman up front, solo...

Previous comments suggested that young Charlie needs a buddy to help ease the pressure...step up Mr Rush..IMO

Didn’t Kelman and Rush play together up front in the youth team?

Yeah, that's an option, just wish he'd put himself about a bit more...he's got size to do it, the confidence, I'm not so sure...but that's not a knock, it's a to build upon....:Thumbs up:

Emile has the size and strength that Charlie sadly lacks. Even if he is hopeless on the ball (and I don't think that he is) his presence will create the space that Charlie needs.

Really think we need someone up top with Kelman, he try's but with no support he's just so isolated up there.

What he said.

As many experienced professionals in the line up as possible. Hopefully Demetriou will be back, and maybe Shaughnessy will get a start to stop us playing kids or people out of position at the rather important position of centre half.

Kyprianou should also be an option, so there looks to be more wriggle room for Sol than Tuesday.

Still look as weak as a kitten though. Heavy defeat incoming.

Wondering if Mitchell-Nelson and Egbri will be spared starting their third game in a week.

Agreed. Hope Rush gets more than 5 mins Saturday, He just needs the time on the pitch and I think he will provide more attacking threat and give Kelman some support! He will want to make amends for his miss on Tuesday night, fresh legs and attacking threat needed for Saturday.

Time for Emile Acquah to emerge as our attacking saviour...
Think Rush fits that description if given the opportunity... Two upfront with midfield support needed Saturday, not much to lose. Let's see if Sol can make an immediate sub should we go behind again. So frustrating waiting for the 80th plus minute to turn the game around from behind! Egril needs a rest and Charlie needs support up front

Didn’t Kelman and Rush play together up front in the youth team?

They did. Rush scored 23 goals in 32 games last season and Kelman scored 19 in 23. In 23 U18 matches where they both played, they scored 38 goals between them, plus 4 in 1 U23 match. They also played up front together at school, even though Charlie is a year younger than Matt.

Of course, League One is a step or two up in terms of quality, but I’d certainly like the partnership to be given more than 10 minutes at the end of a game as they do have a good understanding and have worked well together in the past.
