Sounds more positive than the update Stan gave, hopefully Tom Lawrence is just trying to get the right deal done and not oust Stan completely, we need him!

Hi Avl...... See the Dagenham thread post #26 from Stan, can't be more positive than that, when answering another question on the subject of a deal between the him and the club.

Isn't that the first club update/statement we've had from Tom? Taking the reins from Ron it seems.

I hadn't seen that one to be honest so thanks! ? I just caught up. I really hope he joins us. I'd love to see this Head of Recruitment join as well, so desperately needed.

I wonder if any councillors will more strongly question the sustainability of the club and the precise income streams to support that. Would they back it if they thought that was not sufficiently in place in the plans?

However , unlikely to worry too much about this , if their eyes are fixed more firmly on the necessary Housing prospects

Don't think they are planning matters, so I doubt it'd be relevant

They aren't, so they're not.

Viability of a business is of no concern of a planning committee, it is assumed that a business has done it's own DD on viability of it's business plan.

So as we head into the weekend.. and a game against Boreham Wood. A timely note that during the summer a promising local lad called Josh Rees was literally gagging to sign for us. I’m told he would have walked over hot coals. The move broke down as Brown said he would rather have Dunne. This says everything about our transfer policy this summer and when Josh Rees inevitably scores against us on Saturday we can all feel sicker. The only hope is that we have reached the lowest point and we can begin to recruit properly moving forward. Whether we can ever get back our league status is another thing… many of us have our best years behind us. Thanks Ron and thanks Phil.

I want this plan to work as much as anyone because I love this club. Stan was by far the best player I have every seen play for us. saved us from relegation single handed and I thank him for that. However I believe he has been brought in to deflect the fans attention away from RM, it has worked very well. But now I have very grave doubts for our future with Stan here.

If it does work I will be the first to admit I was wrong.

I haven't kept up with all the stuff on here but here is my two pennies worth If Stan does join in some official capacity I think he can continue with updates if he wishes but I think he should refrain from commenting on the rest of the tittle tattle that appears here. Stan seems to be a sensitive soul and he must realise he can't win over those 5% or so of people who operate in some parallel universe. In addition his role will change from a fan to part of the establishment and his comments on here should reflect that. My other concern is that he wanted Duncan and Robinson out and that hasn't happened and we don't want any power struggles going on behind the scenes. We need to get behind the new team in charge and have some patience

Probably just an error, but I note in the Dover programme that RD is still listed as DoF.

Anton is still listed as HoR but I believe that is correct .

So you think this is Ron's doing?

Wow.

Highly unlikely now that Stan will get a role.
He’s been hoodwinked by the master, helped us and Ron get out of a hole and now a bit of confidence is back in the team he will be cast aside. Hope I’m wrong but this is how Ron works if he can get away with it!

I’d suggest he hasn’t been “hoodwinked” looking at Stan’s latest post and by the TL statement. I get the feeling tomorrow could be a very good day.

The whole Stan scenario has nothing to do with Ron. Stan has confirmed that himself. It’s discussions between TL & Stan. Ron isn’t involved. If a deal doesn’t come to fruition, this won’t be RM’s doing, but I know that doesn’t fit with the narrative.

How can Stan be bad for the club? We would be no where without him! Who cares what his motives are! All I'm interested In is the team getting 3 points.
