Steve Wright - Worst thing about BBC Radio?

ThurrockShrimper

The hardest working man in showbusiness
I really detest this bloke. The dated format (80s radio 1 breakfast 'wacky DJ'), the singing over songs in a deliberately out of tune voice, the sycophantic interviews and that ****ing 'serious jockin' crap you get on Friday afternoons, which is just 'pump up the jam' by Technotronic on a loop.

Sarah Cox would be so much better for that slot...………...

Its basically the same show from the eighties, ken bruce and popmaster is also a disgrace. Isnt it about time he retired.

Ken Bruce is a bit of a dinosaur, but far less annoying. Pop master is about the only redeeming feature for me!

Feel free to lump Jeremy Vine in there too - that bloke must have one of the worst voices for radio ever (whiney and shouty). Oh, and Elaine Paige (nasally). Hold up, make room for Alan Carr as well..... Thank goodness for internet radio - there's some great stations out there without waffling presenters, just music.

Jeremy Vine's programme seems to mostly consist of people talking about death. And occasionally a song by Elvis Costello.

I don't listen to Radio 2 but I never have been able to bear wacky Steve and his "characters". Morrissey wrote Panic about him....hang the DJ indeed.

Lisa Tarbuck gets the gold medal for drivel. I thought i had tuned into hospital radio not a national radio station.

Still the person who goes to the top of a lot of peoples slap list is now Terry Christian.

I can't stand Lauren Laverne or Shaun Keavney and feel it is a shame Radcliffe and Maconie have been shunted to weekends.

There's enough stations out there to not listen to Steve Wright! As it goes, I quite like him. The one I can't stand is bloody Amanda Holden on Heart Breakfast. Thankfully I'm not alone and we now have Magic on in the office all day.

I'm an oldie and have Gold on all day, though 10.30 am is coffee break and Ken Bruce "Pop master" then back to Gold

We have radio 2 on in the office as it is probably the best medium for 5 people of varying ages. There was mutiny when someone tried to put on 'smooth extra' the other year.

Gold is good, as is Magic, Smooth and either Absolute 70s or 80s. A great feature of modern radio is instant pre-set station changes when a horror track gets on.
has that twit Martin still got the mullet? I remember him coming to my primary school in about 1995.
No wonder kids leave school nowadays feeling angry and confused

Good shout, never drive anywhere without Gold. We know the words to Hi Ho Silver Lining.
