The Business
I would say over half my tv viewing in the course of a week (which is not much in fairness) must be on the documentry channel.
Last night I watched a brilliant doc on the Islamic Terrorists that planned to blow up 9 planes between Britain and American in 2006.
The basics were that the UK Goverment got wind of a potential plot and decided to start following a man who had been know to them. The documenty follows the story from the first time they followed him to the point where they arrest 22 people in connection with a plan the next day to blow up the 9 planes.
I wont ruin it for anyone that hasnt seen it but I was amazed by how clever the techniques used by MI5 are and also ****ing annoying the Americans are. They almost folied all our hard work at the last moment by going behind our backs and communicating directly with the intelligent services in Pakistan. The head of Scotland Yard was scathing in his comments on the Americans.
Loads of the top people from both sides of the pond explain what they knew at the time. Got to say I was totally gripped.
I am sure National Geography channel will keep showing this documentry so I would suggest if you get bored its well worth a watch....
