The Matt Harrold WTF thread

I though Harrold's work rate on Saturday was brilliant, his movement was impressive and he kept on battling. More importantly he gave 100%, which is all we can ask for.

Also, what a difference it makes when we keep the ball down, our passing on the deck was slick and we look positive, but a couple of times we did resort to hoofing when a simple pass would have been more appropriate (however it's easier to say when you're sitting in the stands watching) !

Spoke to Peter Clarke after the game and he said that they had been working hard in training on their passing in the final third of the pitch, and that the occassional 'hoof' out of defence should be used only to clear the lines.

I was impressed on Saturday, the ability has been there all along, but what was noticeable was the hunger, passion and desire which all of the players showed.

As in WTF was that second half display all about ? Average first half and a revelation in the second, other than the finishing, but without doubt the finest 45 minutes he's put in since he joined us.

Nice one Matt. More of the same please. I like the taste of humble pie !

I would gladly eat (and enjoy) some humble pie.................but, Matt Harrold can't score, and shouldn't be IMHO playing football at this level.

He got turned away by Wakering once, but meybe they would take him on now!

You can see his confidence growing now. On Saturday he actually ran at a defender and beat him twice!
