Indeed last year we had a record breaking away record, but thats not the norm, and our home record was actually better yet was classed as poor...

Any chance it could be Faro in the Algarve ? Flights from Southend and lots of teams go there as a few stadiums to play in, a local Portuguese div 1 team, good training facilities, and Porto,Olympiacos and Newcastle all having training camps there in July. Some of the training venues do good deals for clubs. Often found English clubs play each other whilst out there.

TBH I did wonder if that was one of the main reasons for the delay.

Surely if finances were so dire we couldnt pay players the club would have known about it and not even made an attempt to do a foreign tour.
