Official Match Thread Tranmere Rovers vs Southend United

They are both playing very well though - would seem strange to get rid of one the two players looking most likely to make something happen.
Agreed, I wouldn’t like to see either come off yet as they controlled the middle for large parts. But I think if it comes to playing higher up later in the game one should make way.

That, right there is what Clarke has been doing to Emile all game long..

Referee also makes up for the fact they’ve wasted the first take by giving them a second go.

Do you think coaches can just stick some players in front of a goal in training and magically make them expert finishers? Improvements to technique don't happen overnight, that only comes over the course of months of hard work. Our passing today has been good, we've controlled the game and Olayinka/Taylor look a class above in midfield.
Our biggest problem has always been personnel, but the players coming in look very good which is to the manager's credit.

But while the close passing has been ok in the middle of the park, the "key passes" have been wretched and decision making has been horrendous. I get what you're saying but we're not improving where it counts.
