Post-Match Thread and Ratings u23s v Canvey 3/8/21

Won’t be numbers as they haven’t been announced yet. Think that’s standard practice but might be wrong
I had never seen that before the West Ham Game (didnt go to Wakering), but usually teams put them in straight numbered shirts 1 to what ever not squad numbers when they haven’t been announced From what I have seen in the past.

It is actually against the rules of the game not to have numbers on your shirts, i didnt know this till last season when my Sunday team got a fine for the exact same thing in our first game of the season (kit was late arriving)

I went last night, and was all southend 1st half due to canvey sitting off and trying to play out from the back. 2nd half was totally different canvey brought on more of there 1st team players and in the end deserved the win. Wouldn’t read to much into the result as was all u23’s apart from akinola who is now free to leave and won’t be missed after that performance.
