I'm not a huge tennis fan but watched Laura Robson during the Olympics.

She's over at the US Open now and saw that she beat Kim Clijsters the other day to set up a clash with 9th seed Li Na .. well she's just beaten her 6-4 6-7 6-2 to set up a last 16 clash with defending champion Sam Stoser

Go Laura

Brilliant stuff, I must admit I thought Murray carried her through the Olympics doubles, but good for her.

I suspect he did too, but to have that sort of success must have given her a lot of confidence and she's carrying it on. Only 18 as well.

To beat Clisters was a superb result, but to follow it up was even more impressive. She's going to shoot up the rankings now and should be getting to the stage where she gets an automatic invite to all the Slams.

I knew I should have quoted your original post when you said you'd been watching her and called you a perve.

I think she's ranked in the high 80's the results she's had this week should take her into the 50's or better.

Go Laura

Our best female prospect for many years. She is still only 18 I think and I am sure she will win a grand slam one day
