Wembley tickets

Also have heard of some season ticket holders that want to buy their full allocation to sell some on at a profit which is disgraceful tbh!
I reckon that's a risk - there'll be huge pressure to open up more of the stadium if we sell close to the 18k allocation we currently have. I doubt the top tier will get opened (and tbh I doubt we'll have demand for that) so what's the capacity of the lower and middle tiers?

The lower tier at Wembley Stadium holds 34,303 seats. This tier is part of a three-tier seating configuration, with the middle tier having 16,532 seats and the upper tier having 39,165 seats, totaling 90,000 seats.

Although I am a ST holder and have been for years my anxiety level is high atm over all of this and my heart really does go out to people who follow this club week in and out but are not ST holders as I suspect their anxieties are far worst than mine but I do feel if we can get the coaches on then that gives us a potential of 26k which will allow almost everyone that wants a ticket will get one
I think you’re over-simplifying this tbh. Just coz coaches could potentially be sourced which would enable the allocation to increase, that’s still only potential increase. Coupling tickets to coach travel assumes all fans live in Southend or surrounding regions.

For instance, there’s no prizes for guessing where I’d be travelling from. And at a push I could get to Roots Hall to board a coach if it was the only way I could attend. But only out of sheer desperation as geographically it makes no sense whatsoever. And my travel issues are a drop in the ocean compared to a lot of people on here.

The allocations need to increase but also this insistence on coach travel needs to do one too.

I’m not gonna hold my breath though. If we were a Prem club this wouldn’t have happened. In reality we’ll probably just have to get on with having our day ruined before a ball’s been kicked.

That’s crazy, Charlton could sell out their end! Could turn ugly sadly for that game if they are in the Orient end!
For those who don’t know the details on this situation (like me), I just did a search to understand the Charlton fan complaints.

Seems like they’ve sold out their end entirely (top tier and all) but Orient haven’t sold all tickets so there’s 10 blocks in the Orient end that Charlton fans are saying should be sold to them.

Understandable on both sides (demand going unfilled and challenges of segregation if you’ve got more than half of the stadium) but not the same situ as us at all.

I was concerned that if they’d not even opened the upper tier for the L1 playoff final then we’ve no chance, but that’s not the case seemingly, just they haven’t allowed Charlton to take some blocks that are going unsold in the Orient end.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

I suspect some demand has dropped off due to the ticket fiasco. For example in the lead up I was designated to try and get 8 tickets together. 4 have said don't worry about them if I can't do it - so I'm now down to 4 defos. The other 4 won't bother if they can't sit with us in the stadium, so even if more tickets are released say on Wed, if I can't get the 8 together tomorrow, those 4 sales will be lost forever.

It’s not impossible because I recall the FA cup final Man City v Wigan and city had well over half I’m sure

Same here. Have 8 of us ready to go, 6 of us family and a couple mates, but if push comes to shove then over half of that will drop out so proper fans can get a ticket, so we’d only take 3.

It’s seeing stuff like this that really takes the p*** when there’s already a race to get them and barely any there as it is and you get extras being bought just to sell on!

So 50k give or take in the mid and lower tiers. 50 50 if that is enough. If they'd just said no restrictions on ticket sales I'd be tempted to say not quite enough. But with the negative publicity so far, I reckon just about enough.

I just don't/won't buy that 55,000 people there isn't more financially advantageous for the organisers than 35,000 people
Was listening to Alex Horne yesterday (taskmaster cohost) and he was saying that unless he charges £80 a ticket at Wembley arena he makes a loss. He had to do two nights there at £40 a ticket to break even. He was categorically saying that unless any comedian or band charges £80 in London, they will make a loss.

Charging what this final is charging (whilst also factoring in half price tickets and early bird tickets) isn't making any money whatsoever.

I'm not saying I think this is right, as I've been livid all morning. But everything boils down to money and the initial outlay that the powers that be need to pay.
