Wembley tickets

I think you’ll find that hey wouldn’t schedule the FA Cup final when the lines are closed. But here they gambled on there not being any more demand than 35,000- and they have been caught out.
Yes. They arranged the game a few months ago and I’d expect that the TFL works were already planned.

I think the real question, in the trusts letter, is whether increasing capacity through the other stations is possible.

All of this came as a complete shock to Latics fans. Most didn’t realise Royle is on the NL Board and we have no idea what he knew or didn’t know…chances of him telling us is zero I would say, he’s not known for his communication!
Our local MPs and the club have said absolutely nothing since this began other than the bland announcement that due to elf and safety the crowd would be capped.
It looks like we have sold around 10k today but can’t be sure and it’s unlikely they’ll be any updates, just two lads in the ticket office dealing with hundreds in the queue and an online ticketing system which collapsed immediately!
I’m just waiting and praying ahead of general sale Monday lunchtime.
Matt Slater (journalist) put a piece on twitter - he claims the NL board have known for months of the restricted capacity.

The TFL have already said they in their opinion have made appropriate arrangements to cope. So I think TFL are off the hook.

??? How do you work that out. The Jubilee and Metropolitan are both closed. Wembley Central is not the same line.
my mistake sure when I looked yesterday on either tfl journey planner or google maps, it was suggesting getting bakerloo line to stonebridge park which is then 2 mile walk and that the line beyond that was closed - but that's not right

Mute point. TfL Operations Director has said they have necessary arrangements in place

Sorry ignore that. Chiltern railways going to Wembley Stadium!!! Either way keep the lobbying going, keep the pressure on, keep the faith. Southend just doesn’t do failure!

I think their statement is very much open to interpretation. Part of tfl plan could well be the coaches. The additional 2 trains per hour and more frequent bakerloo- is that compared to what was planned on Wednesday or have they increased the trains in the past day or so?

All these unaccountable authorities involved will do what they do best, blame each other and take zero responsibility for this farce.

TFL - Not their fault. They gave advanced warning.
Wembley - Not their fault, they told NL the max attendance, they hired out the stadium as agreed.
Oldham & Southend - Not their fault.

National League - Took the risk, hoping that the final would be any combination except Southend vs Oldham.

It's a farce, but it was a calculated risk. Any of FGR/York/Barnet/Halifax/Rochdale/Gateshead playing ourselves or Oldham would have made a 35k capacity crowd make sense.

I saw a comment somewhere about Oldham fans changing at Watford and getting to Wembley from there which is perfectly feasible. However unless I’ve read it wrong the Manchester Euston isn’t stopping at Watford. Is it doing an additional stop in light of the game, a standard set down only or have I read their timetable wrong?
