What are you having for lunch? (rolling thread)

Ok, if this method is any use to you, give it a try. It needs a flat baking tray, some grease proof paper and bacon! Roll up each rasher along it's length and place on the greaseproof paper in the tray. Slip the tray into your freezer, keeping it flat. Leave the rashers for about 45 minutes, then take them out and transfer to a sealable freezer bag. You should find that none of the rolled rashers stick to each other so you take out just the ones you need.

You could equally think 'what a lot of bollocks and not bother:Winking:. It really does work though.
Very interesting & not something i'd have thought of, thank you. What i usually do is buy 12 rashers of their thick smoked bacon, & 3 pks of 8 chipolatas & pack them in freezer bags of 3 rashers & 4 chipolatas ( which are bigger than usual ones! ) then take them out the night before devouring them!.

We normally buy packs of Barling beauties sausages which are getting on for 7 inches long (big beasts!) and I'm going to try the same process for them. as. when they are stuck together, they are real gits to break apart.

To separate frozen bangers, i wrap them in a cloth & throw them to the kitchen floor with venom, which does the trick!.

Late lunch today of 1/2 tiger baguette ( a Sat favourite! ) with 4 Byfords sausages & a generous spreading of warm Bavarian sauerkraut crammed in it!. Followed by a couple of hot crumpets with butter.
That should hopefully keep me going until i get home after today's game!.

I have just discovered Nairns make a marmite and cheese oatcake - these are proving to be a perfect work lunch at the moment, with some little bits of cheese, celery, tomato etc.
Been on them for a few weeks now Kay......perfect with cheese & bits 👍
