Caught my first smoothound from the Southend shoreline last night. Not the biggest caught but it’s something of my bucket list

I had to google what one of those was. So we have Sharks in the Thames, I never knew that.

As I was cycling home last night a tenner blew across the road in front of me as I was cycling down Clifftown Road.

The rain made me happy. Need a lot more now. I help some old people that can't mow their lawns. They have been moaning about the dry state of their lawns. I have told them their lawns will recover over the winter, but we really need the rain to get some life and green colour back into them.

Couple of distant rumbles of thunder. Weather app kept saying rain in 5 mins - but nothing. Looking at the radar it appears it was raining to the north, east and south of us!!
