who's your secret second team?

Chelsea, I've followed both Southend and Chelsea since I was ten years old (now 37). Southend only really took precedence when I moved away from Southend back in 91.

FM obviously has Arsenal leanings as well as Southend but we can't be the only two who also support another English league club. When I was a kid everyone had a big team, although not everyone supported Southend as well.

Time for the closet big club fans to own up...!

Ive got a bit of a soft spot for Ipswich Town, Celtic and SZFC, of course

I have two, both in the Scottish Leagues, St.Mirren mainly because they had what i considered to be a funny name when i was smaller and more so now the mighty Stenhousemuir, this time because they seem to be the Southend of the scottish leagues, spent most of their thime in the lower leagues with a couple of seasons in the first division before a meteoric fall down the leagues again, just like the mighty blues. As an aside in the late eighties i was a Stenhousemuir season ticket holder even though i didnt ever go to a game (well it did only cost me £12)

Liverpool, the gap will probably grow closer when I go to Uni there in Sept. but they'll always be my 2nd team

I've been to loads of Hibs games as my father in law is a Hibee. However my real soft spot is for Raith Rovers. They're small, they play in blue, they're on the east coast of Scotland on the Forth Estuary. Geographically speaking Kirkcaldy is the Scottish Southend.I went to Starks Park to see them get promoted to the SPL for the first time in decades back in the mid nineties and fell in love with them. Me & the Mrs keep toying with the idea of moving to Scotland and if I did I'd be a Raith fan.

Dagenham because I grew up with them.

West Ham unfortuanatley have become evrything I once hated about the football teams i despised years ago when I was a regular at Upton Park.

I like Millwall because they have produced some of the best terrace songs and my workmates support them.

Further afield I have a soft spot for Torquay, Macclesfield and Rochdale.

Girondins de Bordeaux, I grew up in the south west of france and they were the biggest team in the area.
I also have a soft spot for Norwich as my parents have a house up that way and I always look out for the results of Tolouse as I know alot of people that work there.

Up to my early teens, I supported Chelski (David Webb, Peter Bonetti et al), then I had a spell where football didn't interest me at all until around the world cup 1986 and the hand of god.

I didn't go back to Chelski as you would expect, but began supporting the Toon and having been to several matches became hooked on them.

Still Southend first and foremost though!

i like glasgow rangers as well seeing as every one in my office prefers good old chirpy cheerful jolly nice celtic.. fking c..ts

Wolves via my Dad, though he took me to see Southend first.

Chelsea.  Used to go an watch them a lot in the 80s; stopped just when a little success started coming their way.  Can't have any team of mine winning titles and cups can I?

Been getting interested in Total Network Solutions too over the last couple of years.  Started off because I really felt sorry for the guy that starts off the "give me a Tee-ee, give me an O-oh" chant.  It'll have to stop now though as they're 4 points clear at the top of the league and just won 7-0 away from home!!!

My only real Premiershi* allegiance is to ABU, due to them being the only club in the country who can rival West Ham in the scum-fan stakes.

I've developed a slight affection for Bolton in recent times, not only because they make a habit of upsetting the Premiershi*'s most obnoxious, but also because they are a city roughly the size of Brighton and therefore a comparison is the perfect putdown for some of Brighton's scummier fans with delusions of grandeur.

Farnborough Town - which is about 3 miles from my house. There's a fantastic pub called the Prince of Wales which specialises in Real Ale and its where the Farnborough '18 yarders' drink - they're not hoolies just a group of fans who watch the games in line with the penalty area.

Top blokes - they hate Aldershot also which can't be bad but the football is sh*t!
