It's obviously a very big ask of this team to gain championship football, but would championship football affect the build of the new stadium.

It would certainly highlight a greater need to house bigger support. It would definately put us in a greater shop window to seek additional investment.

I don't think the need to leave the hall has been anywhere need as great as it would be if we got promoted.

Could promotion bring greater rewards than just a better standard of football for the club?
 
Championship football ,not just for one season but regularly ,would make Southend more appealing to outside investors,not just for football but also as a location,being a seaside resort also.Tourism is and always will be popular.Having a good football team also ,only adds to that .

It might also encourage RM to pull his finger out when he sees how much revenue we're forgoing because we can't accommodate the demand.

Only if we didn't invest in the squad and stayed up for a good few years. However if we didn't invest in the squad heavily it would be likely we would come straight down
