Sorry but as good as it sounds that is never going to work for such small numbers. At Wembley, for example, this kind of thing worked (are they 10 or 15 year season tickets) because the prices were sky high, but because it was Wembley people paid it. If someone was to pay 10-15 years up front for a season ticket at Southend you are looking at around £5000 per person. If only 1000 people took this up then thats only £50,000 up front, with no income from those people for 10-15 years, ticket wise. As for the costs of implementing a cost based on life, i'm sure this would be incredibly expensive to implement and not really worth it for the small numbers that would take up the offer.

I have few Legia, Wisla & Lech Poznan supporting friends I managed to ask to come and watch Southend Utd, while they are living in Southend (from Poland) - they said its a nice change from watching the trouble at the stadium (like fighting etc)

I am in the process of converting a Chelsea mate. He came to his first away game against Crawley, and is yet to see us score a goal. He is still keen, so it's working!
However I'm beginning to think he is unlucky as he the last times he has been to see Chelsea they haven't won and/or they were useless!

Mate of mine (English guy based in NY) has recently switched to the mighty shrimpers, he became so fed up with everything to do with the premier league & Arsenal and was activly looking for a new club, so i sold the club to him - He is coming to his first game next month.

I'm trying to convert my niece's husband, who's a Spammer (perhaps a little disillusioned?). He has brought his young dzughter's to see a game or two.....was there last season for our 4-1 win against Macclesfield. Unfortunately, he seems to spend a lot of his time chasing tornadoes in the USA.

I agree, my dad is a big Arsenal fan, but is gradually becoming less intrested in the premier league as well. I bet that a sizable portion of their fanbase will either go over to Man U or Man City or a local team in a lower division. If it wasn't for the fact that my local 4th divison team plays at a high school, my dad and me would be going to a few of their matches as the local Major League Soccer team is too far away to go to more than once a year

I was with 2 possible fans yesterday but it really didn't impress them.

We have to remember there was that brilliant Sun offer for 2 tickets for 9.50 available for yesterdays game, and the attendance was still as low as usual.

As there is a seat thats usually vacant near me i persuaded a mate of mine who is a West Ham supporter to the Burton game.I think that seat and many others will be vacant again after that performance

I have converted an Arsenal supporter and his son, and he has converted another mate. Also through the cheap tickets scheme I have 4 Wet Spam supporting mates who now come to around 10 home matches a year , one has even bought shirts for him and his son. I do get some grief from them though, especially after watching yesterdays rubbish.

At the end of the day though people want to watch good football ---- and based on yesterday that was not on the menu, although the Orient match and atmosphere was brillant.
