If the club has any savvy they would hand out vouchers at the two home games before which if you have both entitles you to a ticket after season ticket holders subject to availability. That way we should get a bumper crowd more than once.

Er, what two home games would those be Dave?

will do. I will phone them at lunchtime today to see what's the art of the possible.

I'm another one who'd much rather pick up the tickets on the night.

Just spoke to Brentford and they were great. They have since spoken to the Southend ticket office and it is agreed that Southend will transfer only a limited number of tickets (due to a lack of resources at both clubs) back to Brentford for collection on the day of the game. With tickets not being released for general sale until Thursday I suggest you call the Southend ticket office now to 'reserve' - as I just did. Be quick as they were talking 10's not 100's of tickets!

So if I go on the SUFC site on Thursday, can I order tickets online (And more to the point, will they arrive by the 15th?)

Thanks Dazza. Will give them a ring asap.

The OS states that they wont be sending out ANY tickets. As I now live in London this is why I was wondering whether it would be possible to pick them up from Brentford as I can't get up to Southend before Tuesday.

i really hope self-respecting seasos dont give their spare tickets to chelsea mates... who cant get tickets in the away end. I have already been approached by 2 chelsea fans enquiring... sigh

no, I would phone them now and reserve your tickets, and then phone back on Thursday to pay for them. As I said they will only do a finite quantity. I don't think this will be able to be done on line.

Balls. Waited three fecking years for a chance to see the Blues and now thanks to poxy beauracratics and organisation it looks like I'm going to have to watch this ship from the harbour. Again.

For all those suggesting a voucher system vs Plymouth or similar such scheme for the Chelsea game if it happens, don't forget the ticket office is currently staffed by unpaid schoolchildren and if the club cannot change its answerphone message for five years I wouldn't trust them with a voucher scheme. Or, for that matter, a big FA Cup tie in any way. Could be an interesting couple of weeks.

I rang up about half an hour ago and was told that I'd have to call back on Thursday. I explained that I wanted to collect from Brentford as I can't get up to Southend and they said they could send the tickets out recorded delivery for a further £5. It just seems a bit ******** to have to pay for tickets to be sent from Brentford to Southend only to be sent back to London again.

Couldn't the two clubs just have a conversation and reprint 100 tickets at Brentford and rip up the duplicates at Southend?

Anyone would think you lived on the other side of the world.

The ticket office told me at lunch time that my tickets for Thursday would be reserved and I would need to pay for them on Thursday. They informed me they would then send them to Brentford for my collection on the day of the game. I'm pretty certain I didn't misinterpret what the young lady told me.

Surely Brentford has a collections office too. It cant be that difficult to have a cut off point say close of business Monday, then all tickets travel with a staff member & Blues fans pick them up at Brentford.

Are you a seaso Dazzaref? Pretty p1ssed off if I've been told something completely different to other fans lol!

The very helpful lady at the Brentford ticket office said that they wouldn't be able to cope with Southend fans too as they only have 2 windows to work from. I guess their priority is rightly brentford fans and it's up to Southend office to manage their allocation. But they have offered to have a small number transferred back to Brentford for collection on the night.

Just been told that we are not able to collect from Brentford, so have had to pay £5.52 to have it sent to my home...:nope:

No, not a STH. Just a reasonably regular follower (approx 15 games a season)

Yeah I'm the same and was told the same as Billericay Blue. I can see them getting a few angry calls on Thursday when reserved tickets are no longer reserved!
