Bentley -1 - 2 - Someone's got to lose
Timlin +1 - 6 - Someone's got to win

Bentley - 2 (-1 keeper always gets the glory, and I think Bentley's won enough this season personally!)
Timlin - 6 (+1 To play 4 days after suffering a severe head injury defines the character of this player, and he deserves to win this for the effort and commitment that he has put into the club over the years that has somewhat gone un-noticed.)

Bentley - 1 (-1)
Timlin - 7 (+1)

Let's finish this. I'm in Southend all day, and if I get home tonight and find this is still going I will not be amused.

I'm in Southend all day too. Small world isn't it? And if Tims doesn't sign now I will not be amused.

Sign that contract boy!

As much as I love Timlin. I think a lot of people have been motivated by him smashing his head open. For me Bentley and Coker are both above him

A really great southend player.
well done Mr Timlin; though I too would have been happy with either Coker or Bentley.
I still feel Bentley was the better player this year, but only just.

It's a bit of fun. Don't take it so seriously:facepalm:

Thanks Pubey for starting it:thumbsup:

I've been at a funeral, and you?

I think that that's the epiphany moment but he's quietly and consistently been one of our best players since arriving at the club. He broke his leg under similar circumstances against Orient in the JPT and you can't come back 5 days later and play when that happens, no matter how determined you are.

Splitting his head open (after he's been checked for trauma/concussion etc) is essentially a cosmetic injury and as such he was never going to let this stop him from playing. His work rate, calmness on the ball, vision, tenacity and lack of fear mean that he's really helped push the club on.

Michael Timlin's magic, he wears a magic hat
And when he plays for Southend he runs from front to back

He scores with his left, he scores with his right
And when we play in extra time, he scored all f*cking night
