Ron Martin speaks to Chris Phillips

The two domes made Massive financial sense at that time , and he obviously had access to the money.
If we had moved to fossets and they were erected then it would have been a master stroke.
Of course it hasn’t happened, but at the time it was ( too me) a logical business decision. It’s only with hindsight that it looks dumb- and that’s assuming they are never built. It could still turn out to have been a shrewd business move in the long run.

If RM "obviously had access to the money" why have the Domes been rusting away for the past 5 years, never to be erected? Surely if you buy them and transport them to B&L, you erect them for use don't you?
How does that make it a "shrewd business move in the long run". It's a waste of £500,000 isn't it?

Put it up where? IF it does get erected it will be on the new training ground area off Sutton Road on what is now farmers field. Why put it up now, or in the last few years, knowing it would not be in right place AND while planning applications are " believed" to be a thing in action?

OK, but why leave it in the open to deteriorate for 5 years? Surely it would have made sense to store it under cover if it was bought as a future investment? In its current state, will it be deemed fit for purpose under H&S Regulations now?

Ron Martin, one of the greatest business minds of our generation. £500K for some rusty metal, £3K a month to prop up an MP in the hopes of greasing a wheel that is firmly rusted shut. He makes Elon Musk look like Del Boy.

The grey paint on it is a rust proof protection. Saving money on a giant cover or storage.

It's not accurate. It's not per month. It was one of two payments Ron made to James Duddridge and the Tories. The Club also donated money to the Tory Party in 2004 and 2005.

The original tweet says Monthly Donation. Are you sure?

If it's his own money then ok, but in the name of the club? Note, I'd say this if he was donating to Labour, Socialist Workers Party or the Judean People's Front.

Like you doesn't matter to me who or which party he donates too..

The fact that some may or may not have bee in the clubs name is also irrelevant to me as well, lots of clubs/companies/individuals donate to many political parties and it is announced some where in the press or social media.

Everyone is entitled to do what they want i guess.

When employees & players aren't being paid? When we're bound to be hit with a points deduction and a fine? That doesn't make it ok.

Thought it was just 2 donations. One made just before the election last year.
If true l'm glad someone has spare cash just before the players weren't paid.

Where have i said that it does? i said that it is irrelevant to me what party he wishes to donate to from any of his companies or clubs.

No one mentioned anywhere, that i could see, if it was OK compared to people not being paid.

So what i did was just reply to what was being discussed

He can't have it both ways. We are forever being told he keeps the club going out of his own pocket, so to shell out £3k in November hoping to grease the palm of the MP in whose constituency FF happens to be in and subsequently being unable to pay stewards and turnstile operators the next month is not a good look.

I'm sure if you missed a payday because your employer gave a sweetner to a politician instead of paying your wages you'd be over the moon.
