Barrow/grimsby result could determine how MM goes about this game. I personally would like to us on the front foot and take the game to these. Forest green are decent side but its winnable game like every other game in this league is.
4231 formation

Oxley
Elvis white Hobson Clifford
Ferguson macca
Ang holmes akinola
Ranger
There is absolutely no point in ANG playing he cant finish and has no end product whatsoever! I used to rate him but I've seen enough!!

Nile ranger ??
Nowhere near fit...nowhere near good enough...nowhere near the kind of fight, determination, attitude required for a relegation scrap. But yeah let's start him.....deluded wannabe rude boys worshipping someone who metaphorically spat in every supporters face ??

There's no critism of any club officials for the signing. Just a slagging off of Ranger. Is he the only one involved in the signing? Singling out Ranger for his known misdemeanors is very unbalanced opinion. Others were involved in bringing him to the club. Maybe those who agree with the signing are standing behind the other people who were involved in the deal. That includes the manager MM. Are you one of the MM doubters and want him out?

JD at right back, Macca with Hart in midfield, Akinola and Holmes up front....put some steel and fight into the line up.

Clean sheet for 1st 30 mins to bring Ox's confidence back up.

thought i would give White a rest and play Dieng at CD.
Oxley, Elvis, Dieng, Hobson ,Clifford
Mellis, Ferguson
Goodship, Holmes, Akinola
Ranger
Subs Seaden, Macca ,White, K Taylor ,Ang ,Acquah, Reeco
very much doubt this will be the team but no matter.

On paper we should get thrashed in this one.Fortunately football games aren't played on paper. We're overdue for a goal surely? Will one be enough to get something out of the game? Dunno.BUt I do know that I wouldn't have given us much chance of getting a win at Newport or a draw at Cambridge. The relegation dogfight goes on.

I wanted this too, except now I think just drop JD. Elvis has improved recently and when was the last time JD actually played at RB? Perhaps both the player and manager don’t think he’s a RB any more?

The whole Clifford or Hart situation, Clifford makes us more secure at the back but I still think Hart gives us more service up front, so why not Hart in front of Clifford?

Oxley
Elvis, White, Hobson, Clifford
Ferguson, Dieng, Taylor
ANG, Akinola, Hart

Ranger in for Hart if he’s fit and Akinola to LW. Would still keep Macca and Holmes as impact players for now.

Really don’t get how many people don’t seem to rate Taylor. I think he’s one of our best midfielders. He was excellent again against Newport. He’s one of the first names on the team sheet for me.

He's a good player but he's struggled with his recovery from COVID. I think that's why he's been mainly limited to cameos recently.
