Ron Update

It’s not all about banners and songs though is it?,
This will get the publicity it needs especially with recent goings on with the super league and man United which Ron will hate.

so far all these zoom calls and meetings have got you nowhere because Ron Martin will carry on giving you a load of flannel because it’s worked in the past.

Let’s get serious like Blackpool and charlton did which in the end got them results. Carrying on like you have been will get us one result which will liquidation.

Like I say, I fully support the protest.

RM does it again. He said in his interim statement that there would be another statement at the end of the season.

Maybe I am being pedantic, but end of the season is after Saturday's match. Therefore, the statement and any meeting should on Sunday or sometime next week.

It is clearly just a ploy to weaken the impact of the protest and try to create divisions between the various supporters groups who need to be UNITED to stand any chance of getting change for OUR club.

Ever heard of the dreaded vote of confidence? Has happened since God was a boy and not limited Roots Hall. I suspect your mind has been made up about Ron for some time.

Yep, I have heard of that. But, that doesn't excuse bear faced lies to the supporter groups. I have no interest in what happens elsewhere, just how the chairman treats us here. I don't even know the guy, so haven't made my mind up for some time. I can only go by the information and statements he makes to us supporters, which are very disrespectful. He still has the opportunity to change my current opinion.

Correct Ron does it again! Total ploy

You watch he will say I’ll invest money in the players and again we will be late to the party as Phil Brown would usually say again we will get unwanted players and left with a relegation battle again its like one big merry go round with this man

Can anyone please tell me at what time Ron is due on BBC Essex in the morning and at what time his forum with the Supporter Groups in the evening starts ??

Got some of you lot on absolute strings. Gets wind of a rally and now he wants to talk. Sorry Ron, 5 years too late

When is a zoom call resulting from a protest OK (after this week's one) and when is one resulting from a protest (Orient game, call postponed from last week) not OK?

Anyway, I am not particularly bothered when he talks, but I would like to hear what he has to say about what he plans to do in the summer. If that makes me a mug, then so be it.

The difference is no group stuck their name on the orient one!

I would guess that he'll give a load of waffle about how he's listened to the fans, has had a positive discussion with Stan about bringing in a CEO etc, and everything will sound rosy. It doesn't alter the fact that...can we afford a CEO ? (if we could, surely he would have had one in place, anyway)...will the CEO be given a full rundown of how he operates the club and what his various companies provide (I very much doubt it !).
This can we afford a CEO is nonsense. Consider the size of our squad and the fact their will be individual players on more than a CEO will cost.

Ah the BBC Essex interview. Now THAT is the attempt to dampen the protests IMO.

Question - whatever comes out of Ron martins mouth on Thursday night will you believe it and if not surely you’re just wasting your time with him as usual?.

Of course it is, you know it, I know it. So if we know what he is doing why waste talking to him when we can talk after he has had a huge number of ****ed off fans in the car park. Surly saying no speaks louder than going to listen to it ?

I don’t believe for one second the support for Saturday is so flimsy that the fact Ron is doing the zoom call beforehand should be such a problem. The zoom calls are in response to previous demands for communication- they shouldn’t be cancelled so we can have protest to demand change....including things like better communication. Just like progress to the new CEO shouldn’t be delayed before we have. Protest to demand it.
All these things can be at the same time good.
