Comment: I've rejected this article because it is clear that Cavanagh is not notable at all. Only two of the citations are not passing mentions.
Tried writing a Wikipedia article for Cav.

What citations did you use?

Try again with these ones and link into the England C and Southend United pages

So China have lifted restrictions on travel, even though Covid there is at it's highest rate. More than 50% of passengers on two flights from China to Milan tested positive for Covid 19. WTF. Are they trying to re-infect the rest of the World or something? Millions of Chinese are booking to fly abroad for next months lunar new year holidays for the first time since 2020. Lets hope they see sense and impose a complete travel ban again. America are the first to react saying any Chinese passengers need to test negative before they travel from China. It's all very strange that China didn't test those passengers before they got on those flights. Also very worrying.

Se the EU won't be imposing covid tests on visitors from China.Think the UK might -despite everything .Anyway HMG have got until the 2nd Jan to make up their mind.

Hopefully with the vacinne rollout most people are far better protected than last time around.
People are better protected, but we have a flu and bad cold epidemic here at the moment mainly affecting the weak and elderly, with hospitals wilting under the pressure. Just this week a spokesman for Colchester hospital said he's never seen anything like it. So we wont be able to cope with a new wave of Covid. Ambulances are queuing up to 24 hours outside hospitals as it is.

Saw on BBC World news at lunchtime that Spain has followed Italy in imposing covid checks on visitors from China.Didn't see that one coming. :Winking:

Drove to Milton Keynes for a friend's daughters birthday party. Jumped in the wife's car, running slightly late and didn't notice the lack of petrol until the light came on.

1st time ever I've had to stop at a service station petrol on the motorways. Put in £10 and hoped it would get me there and back. Queue the petrol light coming on again on the way back and my 2nd visit.

Both times paid £1.749 for petrol.

This is obviously a fast moving situation.Spanish news last night was full of this +the UK's and France's decision to follow suit. You don't have to be any sort of expert to work out that the UK's decision was almost certainly inspired by similar action taken by the USA (and Japan).
