Pros of the Job Money can be quite decent depending on how well you do. Good hours 9 - 5:15 monday to friday. 5 minutes from my house and 5 minutes from the pub. Tend to deal with some great people. Generally a decent amount of banter in the office.

Cons of the Job Money can be ****e if you are struggling for the month. Boss is a ****. Bad vibes in the office if you/the office is struggling. Some people can be ****holes and never back up their promises.

Ideal Job money no object Something involving football. Its my biggest passion in life some something like a pundit, commentator, marketing, agent, coach or a PE teacher would be my dream job.

Current Job: Masters student at the LSE - doing Health Economics... part time job at Southend Hosp as a data monkey... but not for long!

Pros: Still a student, still have an NUS card and get to SUFC games for 12quid. Job is ok as can pretty much surf the web and pay is competitive. Really enjoy my course and getting summer placements and jobs offered on a plate!

Cons: Serious amount of work required for the course... pretty stressful trying to work out my plans for the future. Job at the hosp is deadly boring and staring at a screen all day is starting to hurt my eyes. Collegues are mongs and no fitties

Dream Job: Session drummer for the BBC... or I would probably have to go for a Sports Journalist... tickets to any games or event and get paid to watch them! cha-ching!

*One of two IT Programme Managers responsible for all IT projects in a large London based transport organisation - as a consultant rather than permanent staff, although I've been there 2 years (ever wondered why your travelcards are so expensive?)

*Challenging work, very varied and I learn new things all the time. Being a programme manager is great because you spend your entire time decision making and have the project managers to do the actual work, which suits my skillset :cool:

*Huge amounts of pressure, which makes me earn my Attila the Hun moniker... not enough resources for the workload and the permanent staff avoid making decisions like the plague, have slopey shoulders but then take all the credit for your decisions and governance. Thats what consultants are for though - to make our permanent bosses look good, and I'm fine with that. Consultancy that always wants its pound of flesh as well and is coining it off your back...

Job - General Manager of a shipping/freight forwarding company, with 10 offices in the UK.

Pros - Plenty of overseas travel, if you like that sort of thing. Get invited to lots of sports & social things (off to the Emirates for the champs league match v PVC). Good company to work for, with supoortive board.

Cons - Long hours, dealing with China & Korea at 6am, and waiting for the Yanks to wake up at the end of the day. Not the most well paid industry. Sometimes rubbish office politics.

Ambition - To be a sports journalist, and travelling the world gratis, and attending all the top events.

Do you ever travel to the big ports here in Brasil Such as Santos, Vitoria ad Salvador

Shipping and export are huge here and I have some decent clients who are heavily involved.

Strange how the perception is different with regards to owning a bar on the Med when you don't actually live on the Med. I always thought it would be quite an interesting project to own a bar at some point after I emigrated to Spain. I even had a potential name: Gamberros. (I thought it was related to Shrimpers but I very quickly discovered that it actually means 'hooligan' in Spanish! I then thought of 'Nzamba's Bar'.) Now that I have been here 3½ years, I wouldn't touch a bar with a very large extendable barge pole. The hours are very, very long; the competition is hugely fierce; NO-ONE makes any money without investing a HUGE amount of capital; the estimated lifespan of a new bar on the Costa Blanca is currently 14 months. I can think of over a dozen people I know who have been financially ruined by such a venture and thus ended their dream of "sun and partaay all the time" ...

Job, Broker for an Major investment company based out of Guernsey Channel Islands.

Pros, Work in Brasil which has top fanny, restuarants, weather and quality of life for those who are fortunate to earn a decent wage. Rio De Janeiro and other fantastic places just a short distance away if you want to escape from the hussle and bussle of Sao Paulo.

Cons, Working in a dangerous city where life is cheap and carjackings the norm. Very stressful and demanding job dealing with locals who are sometimes slow to make a decision and find it hard to say the word NO. Also the beaurocracy and corruption can drive you mad.

Ideal Job, Dolphin trainer.

My mate is a dolphin trainer here on the Costa Blanca at the excellent Mundomar just outside Benidorm. He is the last person on this Earth who you would think would spend his days training dolphins (with all due respect, much as yourself, Ben!) but he finds the whole experience so exhilarating.

Trust me working in the Sports reporting side of things isn't all it is cracked up to be.

OK you sometimes get to attend some interesting events and meet some people that most others do not.

However, a lot of the time its stupid hours, 24/7, and you spend most of your time waiting around for others.

WHAT DO YOU DO Area contract manager for a huge housing/facilities management company. Responsible for about 100 contracts throughout Essex

PROS Good money and company car, not stuck in office, pretty much my own boss, no weekend work and two days never the same!

CONS Having to deal with moody clients who only want to speak to you when there's a problem, very stressful and having to share the roads with complete ****s who spend the whole day trying to crash into you and trying to manage 150 staff many of whom are part time

MONEY NO OBJECT Would become a time travelling footballer so I could go back and break people like David Speedie and Maradona's legs. Failing that I would love to own and run a fishery in the south of France

CURRENT JOB: I am fortunate to own two companies at present both in procurement, though this is change as we speak as i am just in the process of forming a new company in a completely different field.

PROS: As other people have stated the freedom is the best part though can be difficult at times to get motivated and now with a new company the excitement is back

CONS : Well the major downside is the responsability of providing people with jobs that pay their mortgages and also the financial risks involved.

DREAM JOB : Though being a Cricket writer sounds a great idea , think i would choose maybe being a top chef

Cons of job none... until the last week or so.. been v busy!

dream job Dj... i do it part time anyway, but to do it full time travelling the world would be excellent. Playing to 300 people was so good, i cant imagine what it would be to play to 1000+ week in week out.

Gambero is Italian for prawn, not Spanish.

If you are going to live in a foreign country you really should make an effort to fit in.....
