Actually, I think I've found the ideal Saj replacement:

Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: competent
Batting: quality Concentration: wonderful
Bowling: exquisite Consistency: exceptional
Fielding: remarkable

Only 21 so I could take his bowling on a notch. What to do, what to do.....

Go on player ads sledging board and tout Saj, saying you'd accept 4m straight off if somebody bid instantly. Or list him for 4m and advertise him on there.

As for the replacement, the all-rounder looks better to me, especially as he has the stamina already and you can give him a bowling net.

Saj has been listed, timed nicely to expire just before Friday's matches which hopefully will tempt some late bidding. Looks like I might have to cope with a poor 5th bowler for a while though as I may not have enough left over to get a decent replacement for Hot Rod.

Also, I'm out on Wednesday so I'll either have to bid early or be unsociable at deadline time!

I was looking at him, if only I could sell Marcel...

Just bought this guy for 811k, I think I've had a result especially as Mrs BB paid 1.6m for this one yesterday

Put a random bid in and picked up this chap for £224k:

Alan Grabben (1877694)
Age: 17 Years Old
Wages: £830 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

Seems like a decent price to me, looks halfway towards proficient. Now thinking I could sell Turner who has only just popped in both batting and concentration and turn a decent profit?

Rob Turner - 17 yo, BT Rating=5,557
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, feeble batting form, strong bowling form, sublime fitness.
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: respectable
Bowling: worthless Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

I reckon people will get suckered in by the concentration.

Worth doing?

If you're not desperate for them to play for you, I'd say go for it. Double Respectable in 4 weeks should still go for 500k+ I would think.

Just bought for £100k. Is it just me or has the bottom fallen out of the YP market? Not much training for a quick proficient sale.

Just noticed this player that I'd bought the other day

Ricky Mountney - 18 yo, BT Rating=6,941

Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: feeble

Is there any merit in throwing a WK net at him as a reserve WK ? I'd need to juggle a little bit, or possibly wait 3-4 weeks for a net to become available

Needed a bat, can't complain:

Brad Lamey (1556388)
RH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
An attacking player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: ShrimperZone CC
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,300
Wages: £685 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: competent Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: abysmal

Need to decide whether to give him the WK net as well, probably not worth it.
That was my post when I pulled Lamey. I decided to go with the WK net and he now looks like this:

Brad Lamey - 19 yo, BT Rating=36,315
RH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, superb bowling form, sublime fitness.
An attacking player with respectable leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: proficient
Batting: superb Concentration: remarkable
Bowling: worthless Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: competent

The fact he was trained from such a low level means you get a lot of secondary benefit without getting caned on wages for the WK.

Blimey, that's a good hit. Makes Mrs BB's 1.6m look way over the odds now, and doesn't make my 800k look too good either. The bloke who sold him must be gutted.

My bidding later could be scuppered by the fact that there's a guy with £35m of bids out there on all the good bowlers including £14m on the all rounder I want. I may end up going into tomorrow's OD match with only 3 recognised bowlers available! :O
