4th test

I'll see your bearded XI and raise you this 'tache XI

1. Gooch
2. Larkins
3. Boon
4. Robin Smith
5. Ian Chappell
6. Botham
7. Marsh
8. Lillee
9. Hadlee
10. Hughes
11. Kumble

Think you should find a place for Percy Perrin scorer of 343 not out for Essex still the highest individual innings for Essex.

Cricko played with him in his early 20's.

We could just pick a side from the West Indies period 1970's til 1980's as many of those sported beards. Michael Holding another fast bowler to throw into the frame.

A few players crossing over there, bit of a rebel movement. Could have some problems like the IPL with the ICL.

The likes of Botham, Lillee and Gooch were famous for their taches and I'm claiming first dibs on them.

Can we make it a three-way tournament with a Mike Atherton captained stubble XI? Gooch would also be a strong contender for that as well.

Another example of Jack Russell being overlooked for honours?

Are we going on quality of batting, or quality of tache?

The likes of Greenidge, Lara and Lloyd would strengthen the team in terms of batting quality ahead of Larkins and Smith, but not tache quality.

How about a Bald/Receeding XI as well

1. Kim Barnett
2. Graham Gooch (PRD)
3. Hershelle Gibbs
4. Jaques Kallis
5. John Crawley
6. Tim Ambrose
7. Chris Lewis
8. Shane Warne (Pre Regain Days)
9. Craig Matthews (PRD)
10.
11.

This needs some work.

Are Gooch and that other guy who promoted hair replacement (Matthews?) allowed?

As always, Id have Prior ahead of Ambrose.......though Ambrose's baldness is far better (or is that worse?!).

Nasser was thinning quite a bit so give him a few years....always suspected Vaughan was a bit bothered about pattern baldness as well as he always combed forward.

Kim Barnett could appropriately open the batting...

Am struggling on the bowling front.

Really struggling for bald fast bowlers here.

Kallis and Lewis are there literally for a couple of overs before tea.
