Alan McCormack - Why not sold?

Hahaha a groundswell of unrest?!! There were about 20 'zoners getting their knickers in a twist! The bid was there. Ron said it, Macca confirmed it and Millwall never denied it. Also as has bren mentioned, why make it up?

That's pretty much my take on it, the only doubt I'd have is the size of the bid.

Perhaps, because it could have been 200k after a lot of clauses were met (like the bailey fee). However I have no doubt millwall had a punt

I don't think there was a bid, although Millwall haven't denied it, I think the club done it to save a bit of face when the Revell situation came to a head.

If a bid was made and if it was £200K, it would almost certainly have been payment on a staged basis and therefore of little use in paying off anything like an immediate £690K. That's if the if's were true in the first place.

Thats my take too. Could even have been a free, with a 200k clause should he ever represent his country. technically it's a £200k bid, but in all honesty it never will be

From what i heard, Macca had packed his bags and was half way to Milwall to sign the contract for 200k transfer fee and what would have been double his wages, but at the last minute Ron rang Milwall and said he wanted an extra 100k and Milwall laughed at him and told him the deal was off.

This from from Macca's Barber in Wakering, so take it how you will.

That was all going so well until then.......

I know, i wasn't going to put that last bit in but then you would all ask where i heard it, that is why i put take it how you will. I'm only saying what i heard, whether people believe it is a different matter. Im guessing he still needs his back and sides trimmed?

It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, but unless it comes from the horses mouth then it's just here-say, but thought i would add my pennies worth.

I think OBL is right- speaking to a Millwall supporter I work with, he believes that the Millwall slant was they had enquired about Macca, but were given a too higher price for their liking and didn't pursue it.

I reckon this is probably the closest to the truth

To the first part, sorry but there was no bid. It's spin. They enquired, we claim it's a bid. I'll repeat, there was no bid.

To the second, to spin things away from us offloading players and bringing no one in.

Seeing his face at the end of the match, we will need fighters i am glad he is still here, sawer ****ed off didnt give a ****...
