Best/Worst SUFC transfer deadline deals.

Anyone got any favourite deals from previous years.

For me getting in an unknown French Defender with a gilrs name didnt mean a lot at the time but getting Dorian Dervitte in on deadline day by Tilly was literally a masterstroke.

I think Trevor Whymark was a deadline day deal and he was ****ing awful.

Paynter wasn't a deadline day signing. We signed him a few hours before our first game of the season in 06/07.

Was Paynter deadline day? I'm sure he came on in our first game of the season against Stoke. Seem to recall a horrible hoof from the half way line as his only contribution.
At the time Freedman surely seemed like one, until injuries took their toll.

Efe Sodje was signed in the January transfer window, well before deadline day. He was initially signed on loan, on Friday 6 January 2006, to enable him to play at Oldham the following day, and then the deal was made permanent at the start of the next week.

Scott Spencer was signed in the middle of the January 2010 transfer window and Liam Dickinson was signed at the end of July 2011, so neither of those were deadline day signings.

Was the Paterson deal done on deadline day? That really was a terrible deal.

Barnard and Paterson were part of the same deal with Southampton. This was completed on 22 January 2010, so a good week and a bit before the deadline.
