the shape of the roof on the north stand makes noise deceptive. it often sounds loud in there, but its usually down to being reflected back off the curved roof to the people making the noise.

i think its pretty petty the amount of bickering and squabling on here about how good a teams support is based purely on numbers. its really of very little significance.
Support for away games can vary greatly due to dates of games, recent history, sequence of games/results, current form, player entertainment etc. My disappointment with Cobblers was that they have had reasonable start, new signings and had "bigged" up the numbers they would bring. Then.....

where did they big up the numbers? the 2 numbers i saw on the other thread were 400 which was within 10, and 600 which may have been a lot closer had the cricket finals day not been on the same day.

perhaps there needs to be a formula for what can be considered a good support? a combination of distance travelled, day and time of kick off, and percentage of home fan base. that way you could have something viable to say whether a team are bringing enough fans or not.

Certainly the Cobblers fans on here said we wouldn't bring many. If you could find a quote form on here (or other forums) I'd be happy to see! My prediction was 8 off in fact.

Yeah, it was rubbish. When you said 400 I fully expected 400. I can't believe you got it wrong.
