I am shocked on the speed of BC leaving us. I just hope we have a good replacement for him. I wish him all the best at Cambridge United

The Pig. will be forever remembered by me for that goal. However at present I dont think he is as effective as Bazza was. Rather slow, not as good with his head or putting himself about, not as good at defending. Pace ? hardly. Maybe he will develop but we need better I suspect

More ****ed off with the club than Barry, should have got a new contract nailed down months ago.

I know some doubt his ability for lg1, and I agree we needed to get more strikers in even before this, but I think it's important to have at least one striker who you know what you're going to get. Signing strikers is always a crap shoot, you never quite know if it will work out, often the ones you expect a lot from deliver little (like Freddy & Barney second time round) and the ones you have lower expectations of succeed (like Barry). To start a season with an entirely new set of strikers is very worrying to me.

good luck to BBBC always gave his all for the shirt - joined us when we were in Deep **** street - deserves our full respect and best wishes for his new venture

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was his last touch not the most important assist at the club in many years by setting up Pigott? Not a bad way to go out.

Why is everyone assuming the club are that bothered about this. We made Jupp and Bentley token offers when we went up from League one not expecting them to sign. All I would say here is why would Corr walk away from a chance at league one at the age of 30 unless our offer was no good.

Excellent point Dave. I'd hazard a vague guess & say he knew or Brown has told him he wasn't going to be a big presence in the starting XI, and to top it off the offer he had from us, (either in the past or more recently) was not viable for a 30-year-old, family man, with bills to pay.

Good luck BBBC. Would like to know why he is swapping L1 for L2. Seems strange for him not want to stay with us. Thanks for the memories and hopefully this means wages are available for a quality striker

I must be the only person not bothered by this news!!

nope, you're not alone

It's not the fact that he's gone that's concerning, but the manner of his departure. To sign for another club while in the middle of contract negotiations with us and for that news to be a complete surprise to RM would seem to indicate that all is not well behind the scenes.

I hope that that is purely a problem that he has (perhaps with Brown), rather than a sign of a deeper malaise in the team. It will be interesting to see what the remaining out of contract players do. If Timlin does a moonlight flit too, he will be a much bigger loss to the club and it will be a very worrying sign.

Nailed it. Great post.

I worry about the other players we have who aren't tied down.

Shocked, even irrationally feeling a bit betrayed. Good luck to the guy, I'll never understand seeing him in another teams shirt though, I don't think that will ever look right.

Well let's see what PB can pull out the bag, he's got a huge job on now, I really hope we'll have a better strike force than Pig, Cassidy, Williams + another.
