Very fond of Flavs, but he's part of an era that we appear to be really heading away from, along with Gower, Maher, et al.

Did the shirt proud, always dedicated, always hating on the Col U, one of the best goalkeepers in League One in the last few years.

Put simply (from a goalkeeping standpoint)all the anti Daryl posters are saying we saying we won the play-off final & League 1 Championship in spite of Flavs not because of him..

No, i thought he had a poor year last year and 7 good ones prior to that, well good enough for Southend United this year!

So that would indicate that he is going downhill, so best he does it elsewhere.

We had a defence in those two seasons who could cover for his weaknesses. Now we have a relatively short defence, particularly in the middle, which makes Darryl's lack of height and reluctance to come for the high ball absolutely crippling.

Put simply, if we still had a Prior or a Sodje here then it would be less of an issue but we don't and therefore changing the goalkeeper is an easier, and cheaper, option than changing the back four.

At least he will not concede many goals.
