Films you've watched recently.

Havoc - saw Tom Hardy in it and thought, hmmmm this’ll be ok. In a word ****!

A world where just about everybody dies, thousands of bullets (no exaggeration) are fired but 4 people are miraculously still alive. I love an action movie but with some reality please. Stretched it almost as far as John Wick 4.

Some will enjoy it no doubt but for me the scarcely believable only papers over a wafer thin plot.

Didn't have a lot of option on TV while we were away but did watch Parental Guidance starring Bette Midler and Billy Crystal. Thought it was fun, some proper old school humour.

Dan Duryea always worth watching and Shelley Winters too. I can overlook the considerable shortcomings of this and 'Saxon Charm' for the sheer pleasure of watching some of these actors at their best. On to some John Payne westerns now starting with 'Silver Lode' which has Duryea as the baddie naturally and Lizabeth Scott. Can be viewed as a critique of McCarthyism, Duryea's character's name is almost the same as the witch hunter senator.
