FM Talk

I think it will be out soon, as it normally is out around this time of year. Hopefully by mid-September we can play the demo.

No, that will be the game to buy.
SI usually put a Beta demo up for free download around about now to try & see if mass game play will locate any huge bugs they need to resolve.
It plays up to Xmas of the 1st season.
I tend to download it if I'm going to buy the new one which I may well this year (last one I bought was FM2005), speaking of which does anybody know of any sites that have a latest player update for FM2005?

I always seem to run out of steam in about March...

Took some good tips of this site before. Thanks to a few of you for Enzo Giovanni Scorza & Dexter Blackstock.

Problem is with such a small squad I just cant seem avoid injuries. I took on board peoples comments about training etc but Brushy seems to work the lads like dogs.

Only decent players I seem to have are Barrett,Fred and Flavs. Maher is ok when he decides to turn up. By the time I am half way through the season you can hardly see recgonise the current squad so its not as much fun.

France, Second league and above.
Italy, Serie B and above.

Scotland, 3rd Division and above.
Spain, 2nd Division and above.

On top of this i've loaded all the players from places like Holland, Germany, Colombia, Belarus for instance. Just gives you more choice.
Christ, Fred. You must have a more powerful computer than NASA!

Mine gets a nosebleed if you try and activate more than one country!

If you want to try and sign Scottish players I actually noticed that Clyde have quite a few decent young players. I bought Kevin Bradley for about £5K and he's now worth £1.5M - he's also pretty versatile being able to play in midfield, on the wing or up front. I don't think he'll cut it in the Prem but would be fine for East Fife. They've also got a few other players who have decent stats.

cheers mcrabb, and haha Slipperduke, its not that powerful, maybe you just like your games to go really quick and mine can go quite slowly, i spose it's a little over the top...

16th March now, still no job, and East Fife still have no manager. This is gonna be a while before i get a job i think...

Slow?! No word of a lie, I tried to start a game with the main six nations and it took 40mins to load and about 5mins waiting time between each day.

It was like playing a Spectrum

haha, i didnt get the East Fife job so am restarting the whole thing with just England and Colombia as leagues. I need to add the Conference North & South which i didn't have in this one, i don't think im really going anywhere.

Depends on your take of "slow", just started a unemployed game, put in a application to Exeter (as they were the only club without a manager as of the 11th of July), got offered the job on August 11, which was about 5 hits of the spacebar away. Mind you, on my computer that's about half an hour. Now I'm 5th in the Conference 8 games into my first year, and I've got Gower and Bentley for a grand total of 7 grand. The unfortunate thing is that it's my entire transfer budget, and I'm 100 grand in the red. On the plus side, I wallopped Canvey on the first day and they then got beaten 5-0 by Burton.

ive been approached, 1 day after applying for a rubbish colombian 2nd division team, they have no real players.

leagues activated:

England:Conference North/South and above
Scotland:Third Division and above
Colombia:Second Division and above

I think i'll wait for a better offer.

I've had around 6 offers from Colombia 2nd league, delayed my decision until i had received some more offers, and signed for a team with a 23,000 seater, 70k to spend and are 3k under the budget of 7k. Time to whip this league!
