3 of those clubs are city based whilst Reading have always enjoyed decent support...Hull and Reading were relegated and Swansea look as though they will follow....Middlesborough with their newish stadium look doomed along with Sunderland who also have a newish stadium.

Being a 'city' doesn't guarantee being a long-term success either, and Reading's support whilst at Elm Park was similar to us. Stoke have a newish stadium, believe they still in the Prem? You can play this pick and choose game all day long. Fact is that until such time Ron is (ever) able to extract hard cash from the club, which isn'[t any time soon, his so-called 'rent charge' exists on paper only and ain't going to be repaid whether it's billed at £1 or £40m a season....

Clearly you have zero common sense hence your idiotic reply...Ron is a businessman and a very good one at that, any main stand is the most expensive to build hence why the 3 sided proposal, the club would be left with ticket sales whilst trying to pay any rent due.

Being an idiot comes so easily to me. As a simpleton I have so many questions and so few answers. What came first, the chicken or the egg? If the universe began with the big bang, where did the stuff that went bang appear from? And my favourite, if a 3 sided stadium at FF is a risk, how can it be worse than the certainty that we cannot survive long term at RH?

Only 16 years to get to the beginning of Phase One. I hope there aren't too many phases.

Phase 1 is to put a fence around a bit of land to keep the natives happy.
Phase 2 is to work out what to do next to keep the natives from getting restless.

Ron is hardly going to build us a stadium and then charge the club rent it couldn't afford, is he? The stadium development will be based on the footfall into it, primarily from SUFC fans. The £400k is I think a notional rent on RH that could be called in but also means that Ron is the major creditor, thereby protecting whatever there is should anyone try and make the club bankrupt.

Ron has been good for the club overall. He has had a bad press but those who know me will confirm that I have been unwavering in my opinion that if it's good for Ron, it's good for the club. He has put in hundreds of thousands to keep us afloat and out of administration. I personally don't begrudge him a penny and have never understood how anyone thinks that he has milked the club when in fact, it has probably milked him!

There are many, many clubs that wish they had Ron as a chairman. In particular, ask Blackpool, Blackburn, Coventry and orient if they would swap.

Until they break ground I wouldn't get too excited. Has the fencing got anything on it indicating the contractor? Something like in partnership with, or has any Considerate Contractors banners or signs been seen. If not then construction is still a while away.

What site is that? Numbers sort of don't help where guessing the city is involved.

Pick and choose at will, means absolutely zilch, likewise being deemed a town or city means zilch too. Very poor effort
that....but there again if it keeps you happy....

Football history means zilch:hilarious:

The highest ranked town club is Burnley(not checked but think I'm correct)......so the prem is virtually all City based clubs, bit of a closed shop really but hey you ain't interested in historical facts and figures, maybe SUFC can Buck the trend.

Winding up whom?...if people are wound up by discussing a stadium which hasn't even been built then they need help.

My point is many think FF will propel the club to greater heights ,it may do...but football history suggests it won't !

One thing is certain any 3 sided stadium will be a disaster.
I am also one of the easily confused idiots on here. You have stated that a new stadium doesn't guarantee success and have used examples of teams that used to be at our levels and half then gone on to to better things. Isn't that a total contradiction?

Wowee, a whole one season's worth of 'historical' stat comparisons....how utterly amazing, how do you do it!
